Check this program out that has started via twitter.com by SFMOMA. Show up Fridays at 2 pm and get a community-style sketchbook from the museum, travel the galleries and find something to sketch. It’s like a visual guest registry. Here’s my first sketch of a photo by Richard Avedon of Groucho Marx shortly before he passed away. It was done in 1 and a half hours with ball-point pen.
