SketchFridays @ SFMOMA

Hey Everyone,

Check this program out that has started via twitter.com by SFMOMA. Show up Fridays at 2 pm and get a community-style sketchbook from the museum, travel the galleries and find something to sketch. It’s like a visual guest registry. Here’s my first sketch of a photo by Richard Avedon of Groucho Marx shortly before he passed away. It was done in 1 and a half hours with ball-point pen. Let me know what you think!

Art is beautiful . . . it helps me breathe.

  1. Both of these portraits are absolutely wonderful, and as someone who works with ball point pen(Bic Crystal) quite extensively I find them fascinating. I love the mix of high and low; the most common of everyday writing tools and the intense amount of craft displayed in your work.
